Questions and Answers

1. How good are the solutions?

With good quality data using precise auxiliary data from IGS, horizontal accuracies of 2-3mm and vertical accuracies of about 15mm for a baseline of 1000km and 24 hrs observations are achievable with the Bernese GPS Software in the hands of experts.

2. Do you do any realtime work?

Clearly: no. Near-realtime? You could make your observations available to us in realtime (e.g. via Ntrip), and we could provide a quick solution using IGS ultra-rapid or rapid products.

3. I have found an online computation service, which does exactly what I want. Why should I use your service?

If it really does exactly what you want, use the online service. We do not want to shoot with cannons at birds, do we?

4. We have set up a network to monitor our installation and need to obtain solutions on a regular basis for monitoring purposes. Can you provide the computation service?

We can arrange for this. Just contact us.

5. We would like to measure some points with GPS in order to obtain precise coordinates. However, we're not very experienced in this area. Can you support us during the preparation phase of the measuring campaign?

Yes, surely. Contact us early enough. We'd then be also interested in processing the data, of course.

6. Are your results guaranteed in any way?

We cannot guarantee our results. While we do strive for highest accuracy possible, the quality of the results also depends on the data itself (equipment used, observation environment, observation length, etc.), over which we have no control. Use of results lies within the responsibility of the user. However, we guarantee delivery of service. If, for any reason at all, we are unable to deliver results, you do not need to pay. If our results prove to be unsatisfactory, we will not charge anything.

7. Why can't I find any pricing information?

We have no standard product to sell, and therefore, no itemized pricing list. Prices are determined individually. You will find our prices fair and competitive given the services provided.

8. You seem to be experts on the Bernese GPS Software. Can I contact you for technical support regarding the software?

Technical support of the software is best obtained by the AIUB support. We might, however, provide support within a specific project which you wish to realise with us.
