Lic.-Phil.-Nat. Pierre Fridez

Studied Astronomy at the Astronomical Institute, University of Bern (AIUB) and graduated in 1997.

After 2 years in the Astrometry Group at AIUB involved in the development of ESA's Space Debris Survey System, he switched over to AIUB's GPS team to assume the function of software administrator for the Bernese GPS Software. His prime responsibilities were sales, support, training, and the continuing development of both the software and the documentation. He has seen over the transition from version 4.0 to version 4.2 in 1999, and subsequently from version 4.2 to version 5.0 in 2003. In these years he acquired a sound knowledge of the software and high accuracy processing of GNSS data.

In November 2006, he left his position at AIUB to assume responsibilities within Bernese GNSS Solutions and spends a lot of time now in aircrafts and even more with his wife and daughter.
